The Rivanna Solid Waste Authority is offering FREE mulch to customers of the Ivy Material Utilization Center, located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. The FREE freshly ground mulch is from local trees and vegetation with no dyes. The mulch is produced from grinding vegetative debris that has been brought to our facility. No purchase is necessary. The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (RWSA) is reporting that a 50 million gallon per day (mgd) wastewater bypass pumping and piping system has been completed at the Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility. This bypass pumping system conveys wastewater around the damaged pump station to complete the normal treatment process. The temporary pumping and piping system will allow RWSA to manage higher wastewater flows the facility may receive during storm events.
