Friday, July 15th Rivanna hosted an Odor Control Kickoff at Riverview Park for local officials, media, and neighbors. We shared the good news that our contractors have mobilized their equipment and construction is beginning! We also heard from City Councilor Kathy Galvin, Board of Supervisor Rick Randolph, Rivanna Solid Waste Authority Board Chair, and Woolen Mills President John Frazee. In the first week of the new program, Rivanna’s McIntire Recycling Center collected 150 lbs of food waste and household compostables in five days!
