We manage 67 miles of water lines, 704 manholes, five reservoirs, 11 water tanks, five treatment plants,  and four wastewater treatment plants, and 80 acres at our Moores Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility each of which needs regular maintenance as well as upgrades to provide an even higher quality of water to our two customers the City and ACSA and their 120,000 customers. Environmental Stewardship

We serve human needs and protect the natural environment.  Water-wise, we return clean water to the Rivanna River, which feeds into the James and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay. Provides nutrients for plant life; green energy for the operations at Moores Creek water treatment facility.  Waste-wise, we dispose of ABCD tons each year and recycle ABCD tons each year.
