September 13, 2018 Due to the change in the projected path of Hurricane Florence and the lessened potential impact for the Charlottesville / Albemarle areas, the Ivy Material Utilization Center (IMUC), 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903, and the McIntire Recycling Center, 611 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, VA 22902 will remain open and will operate under their normal schedules. Update: 6-4-2018 Albemarle County Service Authority lifted the “boil water”  notice on Saturday June 2nd. Repairs to the RWSA linke break continue. Update: 6-1-2018 All dams remain safe. Water has been restored to all ACSA customers. The process to refill Piney Mountain Tank continues; it is currently at about 17.5 feet. The water line break near Dickerson and Airport Roads has been repaired. A second water line break has been located between the North Rivanna Water Treatment Plant and Route 29. Update 1-22-18: Due to inclement weather, the work originally scheduled for January 16, 2018 was unable to take place. This work has been rescheduled for Wednesday January 24 to Thursday January 25, 2018. The scope of work remains the same: Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority, along with Faulconer Construction, will be performing water line repair work. The repair will take place on Route 240 near Park Ridge Drive in Crozet, VA and is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am. Tuesday, October 5, 2017 A Special Emergency meeting of the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority Board of Directors was held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. The Board authorized the Chair to declare a Drought Warning which include mandatory water restrictions for the Charlottesville – Albemarle area.
