The Rivanna Solid Waste Authority (RSWA) and the County of Albemarle are excited to announce the Grand Opening Celebration of the Southern Albemarle Convenience Center on June 22nd (10:00 am – 11:00 am). The new facility is located along Esmont Road, south of the Keene Post Office.
The Southern Albemarle Convenience Center will offer source-separated recycling of corrugated cardboard, mixed paper, plastic films, #1 and #2 plastic containers, glass containers (jars and bottles), newsprint, office paper, mixed metals, and aluminum beverage containers, as well as “Tag-A-Bag” household trash disposal.
The Convenience Center will be owned and operated by the RSWA and construction of the facility was funded by the County of Albemarle.
