Construction Project Information Meeting – Ragged Mountain Reservoir to the Observatory Water Treatment Plant

Rivanna Water Line Construction Project

The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority will hold a Project Information Meeting at 6 pm on January 29, 2025, at the RWSA Administration Building located at 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902.

This Project Meeting will review a major piping construction project which will provide an essential increase in our community’s drinking water supply.   This project will include about 4 miles of 36-inch underground piping to be installed near Reservoir Road from the Ragged Mountain Reservoir to the Observatory Water Treatment Plant located off McCormick Road.   Work will also include construction of a large water pumping station near the Regents School on Reservoir Road.   The project will be completed over the next 4 years and will be managed by staff from the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority.
