Greg Marrs began his career at the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority in 1983, as a member of the Groundskeeping Crew. Over the next 35+ years, Greg served in many roles within the RWSA Maintenance Department, including Painter/Carpenter, Mechanic, Vehicle Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, and Assistant Maintenance Manager. In Fall of 2019, Greg began in his current role as the Maintenance Manager. As the Maintenance Manager, Greg oversees a team of 15 employees who perform preventative maintenance and repairs on RWSA’s diverse set of water and wastewater infrastructure, both at its treatment plants, and in the distribution and interceptor systems.
When he’s not ensuring that RWSA’s critical infrastructure remains in service, Greg enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his family.
